Smile Design, also known as ‘Hollywood Smile’, is a treatment method that provides a natural and aesthetic appearance according to the patient’s needs and face shape of the differences in teeth and gums that disrupt aesthetics for various reasons.
The analyzes made on the photographs taken before the treatment and the 3D studies on the models prepared in the laboratory are important in terms of determining the situation after the treatment and making a personalized design.
The stages are very important in smile design. It gives us the opportunity to see the result of the treatment at the very beginning of the treatment. Another reason why it is important is that changes can be made in the design according to the expectations of the patient who sees the preliminary design. At the mock-up stage; The design is applied to the teeth by means of a silicone key prepared by the laboratory on the wax-up model (In this way, temporary restorations are attached in a single session on teeth that have been abraded). The person can see these teeth in the mirror and ask for the necessary changes. The shape, size, color or form desired to be changed in the smile design is noted by the patient and the physician and forwarded to the laboratory.
